Ripple Reef was built by Greg Waggoner with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Ripple Reef opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a browser-based 3D aquarium game titled “Ripple Reef.” Use Three.js or an equivalent real-time 3D engine with an orbiting perspective camera. The scene is a transparent rectangular glass tank approximately 10 units wide, 5 high, and 6 deep, viewed from an elevated front three-quarter angle against a dark navy-blue background. The tank has pale tan sand on the bottom, a translucent cyan-blue water volume filled almost to the top, a visible shimmering water surface, transparent glass front/back/side panels, and light cyan corner posts. Use soft cool aquarium lighting plus a brighter directional/window light, with subtle fog. Enable damped orbit controls: dragging on the canvas rotates/orbits and pans the tank, while zoom is limited to a comfortable aquarium-view range; keep the view pointed toward the center of the tank. Seed the aquarium at startup with 4 animated small fish swimming freely through the water at varied positions and depths. Use a low-poly/cute Kenney Cube Pets “animal-fish” style model when available, with differently tinted fish colors (orange, blue, pink, yellow, green, etc.); provide a simple rounded fish fallback if the model cannot load. Fish should bob gently, turn to face their velocity, bounce within the inner tank bounds, and use idle/walk/eat animation states when the animated asset supports them. Initially place 5 stylized green aquatic plants of varied height around the sand and 3 faceted gray rock decorations. Add rising translucent bubbles throughout the tank, gently wobbling and recycling from the bottom when they reach the water surface. The core loop is feeding and decorating, with no hard fail state. A tap/click on the water surface drops food at the clicked x/z location; ignore clicks outside the inner tank. A click is distinct from a drag, so dragging rotates the aquarium without dropping food. Each feeding tap creates between 1 and 4 small yellow/gold circular flakes depending on the current food level (1 + floor(foodLevel/2), capped at 4), scattered slightly around the click point. Flakes begin at the water surface, slowly sink, rotate, and disappear after roughly 18 seconds or when they reach near the bottom. Fish seek the nearest uneaten flake when hungry, swim toward it, and eat it when very close. Eating restores hunger by 14 + foodLevel*5 and contributes to gradual growth; when enough growth accumulates, the fish grows slightly, capped at a larger size. Fish hunger continuously decreases at roughly 1 + size*0.22 per second. Fish with hunger above 34 are happy; otherwise they become unhappy, swim more slowly, stop generating coins, and show a small red unhappy indicator above their body. Happy fish periodically generate coin rewards based on size (roughly 2 + size*3, minimum 1, every 5–8.5 seconds); show floating gold “+N” text when coins are earned. Also show floating “+food,” “grew,” “new fish,” “better food,” or “need coins” feedback as appropriate, with outlined, colorful text that rises and fades. Start with 80 coins, food level 1, and shop prices of Fish 25, Food+ 45, Plant 35, and Deco 50. Display a translucent rounded HUD over the scene. At the top center show three pill-shaped counters: a coin icon and current coins, a fish icon and fish count, and “Food” with the current food level. Under them show the instruction “Tap water to drop food • Drag to rotate the tank.” Along the bottom center, show four large blue gradient rounded shop buttons with icon/label and yellow cost: “🐠 Fish,” “✨ Food+,” “🌿 Plant,” and “🪨 Deco.” Visually indicate unaffordable buttons as locked/dimmed. Buying Fish deducts its current cost, adds one new fish with high hunger, and increases the fish price using approximately cost = round(oldCost*1.28 + 5). Buying Food+ increases foodLevel by 1 and updates its price using approximately round(oldCost*1.45). Buying Plant adds one randomly placed tall or rounded green plant and increases its cost using approximately round(oldCost*1.22 + 4). Buying Deco adds one randomly placed, rotated, scaled faceted rock and increases its cost using approximately round(oldCost*1.25 + 5). Play a short interface click sound for taps and purchases when audio is available. Clicking the shop must not also feed the aquarium. Keep the experience calm, colorful, attractive, and focused on watching fish, feeding them, earning coins, and gradually making the aquarium livelier.
