Make your own game

Quiet Lake was built by Mad Cow with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Quiet Lake opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Quiet Lake

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Recreate a small, peaceful 3D browser fishing game titled "Quiet Lake". Use a Three.js-style WebGL scene with a fixed third-person perspective camera looking diagonally across a tiny lakeside fishing spot: the camera sits elevated behind and to the right of the fishing setup, aimed toward the lake and distant horizon. Render a warm low-poly sunset scene with an orange-peach sky/background and matching atmospheric fog, a large pale yellow-orange setting sun low over the horizon, and several soft, flattened dark gray-blue distant hills. The foreground should be a muted green-gray grassy shore surrounding a broad calm blue-green lake/water plane. Add simple low-poly nature props around the perimeter: stylized pine trees, bushes, and angular rocks. Include a small brown wooden dock in the foreground made from several slightly varied planks, with dark support posts, plus a simple wooden bench/seat behind it. The visual style should be clean, geometric, cozy, and lightly stylized, with soft directional sunset lighting, cool rim light, ambient shadows, and shadows cast by the dock, trees, rod, and other objects.

The player is represented by a fishing rod setup near the dock rather than a walking character. Show a dark brown tapered rod angled upward from the lower foreground, with a thin pale fishing line extending out over the lake to a small red/coral bobber. The bobber is initially hidden until the player casts. When visible, it gently bobs up and down and drifts slightly side to side, and the line should update to connect the rod tip to the bobber. Keep the camera and environment static; the interaction is entirely about timing the cast and reel action.

Implement this exact game loop with two input methods: a large on-screen button and clicking/tapping the 3D canvas. Initially the state is ready: the button says "Cast Line", fish count is 0, streak is 0, and the status panel says "The lake is still." with the detail "Cast your line and watch the bobber." Pressing the button while ready casts the line: enter a waiting state, show the bobber, change the button text to "Wait...", update the status to "A line is out." and "Listen for the little splash.", and show a temporary toast reading "Cast into the quiet water". After a randomized wait of about 1.7 to 4.1 seconds, enter the bite state: change the button to "Reel In!", show status "A fish is nibbling!" and detail "Tap Reel In before it slips away.", and briefly show a toast "A little tug...". The bite window lasts about 2.2 seconds. If the player presses the button or taps the canvas during this window, successfully reel in: increment fish by 1 and streak by 1, hide the bobber, return to ready with button "Cast Line", set status to "A keeper!" and detail "The lake gives up a silver flash.", and show "Fish on! +1". If the player reels while still in the waiting state, treat it as too early: reset streak to 0, hide the bobber, return to ready, show "Too soon." and "The bobber drifted away. Try again.", and toast "Just a ripple...". If the player fails to reel before the bite timer expires, automatically hide the bobber, return to ready, reset streak to 0, and show "It got away." and "The lake is still again.". Ignore button presses while already ready except for casting, and ensure all HUD counters update immediately.

Build the HUD as fixed, overlaid HTML UI that does not block the scene except for controls. At the top left, use a translucent dark navy/plum rounded panel with a subtle border, blur, and shadow containing the bold title "Quiet Lake" and subtitle "A tiny sunset fishing spot". At the top right, use a matching translucent panel showing two columns: a large warm yellow number above the label "fish", and a large warm yellow number above the label "streak". Near the upper center, display temporary rounded pale-gold toast notifications that fade in and out. Near the bottom center, place a large rounded pale yellow button with dark text and a darker orange drop shadow; its label changes among "Cast Line", "Wait...", and "Reel In!". Beneath/behind the button near the bottom, show a wide translucent dark rounded hint/status panel with centered text: the current status line should be bold pale yellow and the detail line white. Make the layout responsive for portrait mobile screens, with compact margins and readable scaling, and prevent page scrolling. Use a warm, quiet, minimal presentation with no enemies, combat, movement controls, inventory, or extra gameplay systems.
