Make your own game

Perge Gate was built by Oleg Sidorkin with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Perge Gate opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Perge Gate

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a Three.js-style interactive 3D architectural reconstruction titled “Perge Gate,” presented as a sunlit historical scene of the Hellenistic Gate at Perge, reconstructed circa AD 120. This is an explorable inspection/viewer rather than an action game: use an orbit camera with damping and gentle automatic rotation, centered on the monumental courtyard and gate. The player controls the camera by dragging or swiping to orbit around the scene and scrolling or pinching to zoom; limit the camera so it cannot go below the ground, with a close-to-medium inspection range and a distant overview range.

Scene and composition: use a pale blue sky/background with light atmospheric fog. Build a large warm cream/white marble complex from procedural primitive geometry, with visible subtle wavy gray/tan veining and realistic rough stone shading. Strong Mediterranean sunlight should come from the upper left/front, producing soft shadows, with cool sky fill and subtle bloom/filmic tone mapping. Add a broad pale stone ground plane and a rectangular marble-paved courtyard in the foreground/middle distance.

Architecture: flank the gate with two enormous round multi-storey towers, one at left and one at right, each made from three stacked cylindrical drums with slightly varied radii, horizontal stone bands at floor tops, and a conical brown roof. Place narrow dark vertical slit openings on the tower fronts at each storey. Continue both sides with tall, thick Hellenistic city-wall/rampart blocks and a simple crenellated top line.

Inside the courtyard, create a horseshoe-shaped arrangement of repeated two-level colonnaded bays around the back and side walls. Each bay has a marble rear wall, side pilasters, dark recessed rectangular niches on both lower and upper levels, small simplified pale statues in the niches (a tapered cylindrical body with a spherical head), projecting entablatures/cornices, and pairs of Corinthian-inspired columns on both tiers. The repeated columns should be tall pale cylinders with wider bases/capitals and warm-toned marble bands. The default view should show the dense colonnade, many dark statue niches, and the courtyard floor, matching the supplied image.

At the far/north end, add a prominent triple honorific arch: four substantial marble piers forming three openings, warm marble horizontal lintel blocks above the openings, a large upper entablature, a top cornice, and decorative columns/statues along the upper level. Beyond this gate, extend a colonnaded main street with two rows of tall marble columns receding into the distance. Add a narrow blue water channel running lengthwise down the street beyond the courtyard.

Populate the courtyard only as scale reference: approximately fourteen small simplified human figures distributed in the paved area, each a colored cylindrical robe/body with a tan spherical head; use muted red, dark blue, olive, purple, mauve, and ochre clothing. Add two more travelers near the gate approach. Do not add combat, enemies, inventory, scoring, dialogue, or other game mechanics. Include a small non-interactive bottom-left translucent label reading exactly: “Perge · Hellenistic Gate, reconstructed c. AD 120 — drag to orbit”. Ensure the default camera angle is a close elevated view that clearly exposes the layered columns, statues, towers, gate, paving, and figures, while allowing the user to orbit around the complete reconstruction.
