Make your own game

Parry Ring was built by RAJA MUHAMMAD ZAIM BIN R.HUSIN with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Parry Ring opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Parry Ring

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a playable 3D third-person sword-dueling game titled “Parry Ring.” Use a dark navy background and a circular raised arena: a broad dark blue-gray cylindrical floor, a glowing blue torus marking the ring boundary, and eight short stone pillars spaced around the perimeter. Frame the action with a slightly elevated perspective camera behind and above the player, looking toward the opponent; the camera should follow the player smoothly as they move. Place a stylized armored knight player near the front of the ring, facing a stylized warrior opponent near the far side. Both characters carry simple swords with pale metallic blades, gold guards, and gold grips. Use cool blue rim lighting, warm directional light, soft shadows, light fog, and a polished low-poly/fantasy 3D appearance.

The game is a timing-based parry duel. Begin with a full-screen translucent dark overlay and centered rounded card reading “Parry Ring,” with the instruction: “Face the rival, watch the red wind-up, and hold Block at the impact moment. A perfect guard opens a counter window.” Include a purple “ENTER THE RING” button. Once started, hide the overlay and reset both fighters to 100 health and score to 0. The player can move freely on the arena using WASD or arrow keys, constrained within roughly the central ring area. Support keyboard Space or either Shift key for holding Block, and also provide large touch/mouse buttons at the lower right labeled “BLOCK” and “ATTACK.” The Block button must work as a hold action, while the Attack button is a press action. Pressing F or clicking/tapping ATTACK triggers a short player sword-slash animation and displays “ATTACK!”; retain this attack interaction, but do not make it directly damage the enemy because the source mechanics only deal damage through a successful counter.

Implement the opponent as a repeating state machine. After a short idle/reset period, show the prominent warning status “RED WIND-UP — BLOCK NOW” in red and animate the opponent’s sword into an attack wind-up for about 0.92 seconds. At the impact moment, if the player is holding Block, perform a perfect counter: reduce enemy health by 24, award 100 points, briefly stagger the opponent, show “PERFECT COUNTER +100” in green, and open a brief counter/stagger window. If the player is not blocking, reduce player health by 18, show “HIT — block the impact” in red, play a player hit reaction, then let the enemy recover. After recovery or stagger, return to idle and display a reset prompt such as “Reset — wait for the red wind-up.” While the player is holding Block, display “GUARDING” in gold except when the red wind-up warning or hit/counter result takes precedence. Successful counters should be the only way to defeat the opponent; four or five counters can deplete the 100-point enemy health bar (24 damage per counter, clamped at zero). Stop gameplay when either health reaches zero.

At the top center, add a compact HUD: a rounded dark panel at the top left/center area with the uppercase title “PARRY RING,” and a matching panel on the opposite side showing the current status message. Beneath it, show two horizontal rounded health bars with no required text labels: the player bar uses a cyan/teal-to-blue gradient and the enemy bar uses a peach/orange-to-red gradient. Both begin full and visibly shrink as health is lost. At the lower left, show a small translucent instruction panel reading approximately “WASD / arrows move · Space or Shift block · click or F attack” and “Block during the red wind-up for a perfect counter.” At the lower right, show the two large rounded controls, gold/yellow BLOCK and teal ATTACK. Make the interface responsive: on narrow screens hide the help panel and spread the two buttons along the bottom.

When the player wins, show the overlay card again with heading “RING MASTER,” text “Perfect counters break the opponent. Score: [score],” and a “FIGHT AGAIN” button; set the status to “Victory” in green. When the player loses, show heading “DEFEATED,” text “The rival found an opening. Read the wind-up and try again.”, the same restart button, and a red “Defeat” status. Keep the overall visual language dark, minimal, glassy, and game-like, with purple start/restart card accents and clear cyan, gold, red, and green feedback colors.
