Monster Reign was built by Bentley Merlano with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Monster Reign opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a third-person/isometric 3D fantasy arena action RPG titled “Monster Reign.” Use Three.js-style real-time 3D rendering with a high, slightly angled follow camera: the camera looks down at the hero from roughly above and behind, follows the hero around a circular arena, and keeps the player centered. The arena is a circular green/brown/snowy/lava-colored ground disk about 12 units across, enclosed by a raised glowing torus boundary. Use soft shadows, fog, directional sunlight, hemisphere lighting, and a dark atmospheric sky/background. Keep the play space compact and readable, with a large mobile HUD overlaid on top of the 3D world. Core loop: On startup show a hero-selection overlay with five selectable heroes. Selecting a hero immediately starts World 1, Forest, resets all stats, spawns the first enemy wave, and hides the selection overlay. Move around the arena, fight every monster in the wave, collect drops, open a treasure chest that appears after the regular wave is cleared, then defeat the world boss. After a boss dies, show an “Enter [next world]” button; pressing it loads the next arena and wave while preserving the player’s progression. There are five sequential worlds: Forest, Frozen Mountains, Volcano, Shadow Castle, and Monster King’s Fortress. The final boss victory shows a Victory overlay; death shows a Defeat overlay and allows replay with a hero. Heroes and their distinct stats/abilities: - Blaze: orange/red fire theme, Fire Sword, max HP 125, damage 22, speed 5.2, armor 2, attack range 2.5, skill “Flare Spin,” ultimate “Phoenix Break.” Heavy burning slashes; Flare Spin is a close-range 360-degree pulse; Phoenix Break is a larger close-range burst. - Frost: cyan/ice theme, Ice Spear, max HP 118, damage 19, speed 5.1, armor 2, attack range 3.1, skill “Glacier Lance,” ultimate “Absolute Zero.” Longer-range attacks slow enemies; Glacier Lance fires a forward beam/line attack; Absolute Zero is a large slowing area burst. - Volt: yellow/lightning theme, Lightning Daggers, max HP 108, damage 17, speed 6.25, armor 1, attack range 2.1, skill “Chain Flash,” ultimate “Thunderstorm.” Fastest hero; Chain Flash strikes up to four nearest enemies with lightning beams; Thunderstorm strikes all living enemies. - Shadow: purple theme, Shadow Scythe, max HP 114, damage 20, speed 5.75, armor 1, attack range 2.9, skill “Night Dash,” ultimate “Reaper Bloom.” Night Dash teleports/dashes toward the nearest enemy and hits around the landing point, healing the hero; Reaper Bloom damages all enemies and restores health. - Titan: brown/gold theme, Earth Hammer, max HP 155, damage 26, speed 4.3, armor 4, attack range 2.6, skill “Quake Smash,” ultimate “Titan Rupture.” Slow, durable, powerful close-range area attacks. The selection screen should present hero cards with the name, weapon, descriptive style, and skill name. The main HUD should be dark translucent rounded panels with bold white typography. At upper left show “CHOOSE HERO”/the selected hero and weapon, current world tag and name, HP text and a red-to-orange health bar, XP level and XP bar, and Ultimate percentage with a bar. A lower-left adventure/status panel shows the coin count, flavor/style text, Damage, Armor, Weapon Tier, and current Objective. The screenshot’s initial state should resemble a dark glass panel over a green forest arena, with Forest selected as the world and the hero-selection prompt visible. At the bottom, provide touch controls: a large translucent circular virtual joystick at lower left with a blue/lavender thumb; four large translucent rounded buttons at lower right in a 2x2 grid: ATTACK with the current weapon name beneath it, DODGE with the keyboard hint K or cooldown seconds, SKILL with the current skill name beneath it, and ULTIMATE with the current ultimate name beneath it. Support keyboard controls as well: WASD or arrow keys move, J attacks, K dodges, L uses the skill, and U uses the ultimate. Buttons should visibly press and disable during cooldowns; Ultimate should visually indicate when charged. Combat should be real-time and close-range/area-based. Movement updates the hero’s facing direction. A normal attack has a short cooldown around 0.38 seconds, creates a colored slash arc in front of the hero, and damages up to four enemies within the hero’s attack range and attack arc. Dodging has a roughly 2.2-second cooldown, rolls in the movement direction, moves quickly for about 0.22 seconds, and grants brief invulnerability. Skills have about a 4.8-second cooldown. Attacks and skills fill the ultimate meter; kills also add ultimate charge. When ultimate reaches 100%, the ultimate button enables, and activating it resets the meter to zero. Enemies pursue the hero, play walk/run/attack/death animations when available, and attack when close. Incoming damage is reduced by armor but never below 1, and dodge invulnerability prevents damage. Progression: Start at level 1 with 0 XP, next-level requirement 50, weapon tier 1, and 0 coins. Enemy kills grant XP and coins. On level-up, increase max HP by 16, damage by 4, armor by 0.4, speed by 0.08, fully heal, and increase the next XP threshold by multiplying it by 1.28 and rounding. The player’s weapon tier and damage can improve from chest and weapon pickups. Pickups automatically collect when the hero approaches: coins increase currency, potions heal 18 HP, armor pickups add 0.7 armor, and weapon pickups increase weapon tier and damage. Make pickups float/bob and rotate. World content and visuals: 1. Forest: pale green sky/fog, dark green ground, green glowing boundary, trees around the edge. Regular wave: 4 Goblins, 3 Slimes, 2 Dark Wolves. Boss: Grove Golem, 280 HP, damage 14, speed 2.5, reward 80. 2. Frozen Mountains: pale blue sky/fog and blue ground, snow/ice rocks and occasional ice shards. Regular wave: 4 Skeletons, 3 Spiders, 3 Slimes. Boss: Frost Colossus, 320 HP, damage 16, speed 2.6, reward 95. 3. Volcano: orange sky/fog, dark red-brown ground, dark rocks and glowing lava pools. Regular wave: 4 Lava Beasts, 2 Demons, 2 Golems. Boss: Inferno Dragon, 380 HP, damage 20, speed 3.1, reward 120. 4. Shadow Castle: blue-purple sky/fog, very dark ground, purple trees and glowing dark obelisks. Regular wave: 3 Dark Wolves, 3 Skeletons, 2 Demons. Boss: Night Tyrant, 410 HP, damage 22, speed 3.2, reward 145. 5. Monster King’s Fortress: tan/gold sky/fog, gray-brown ground, fortress-like dark rocks and torch posts with warm point lights. Regular wave: 3 Demons, 2 Dragonlings, 3 Golems. Boss: Monster King, 520 HP, damage 26, speed 3.35, reward 220; give him a visible gold crown. Enemy types should include Goblins and Wolves using stylized fantasy character/animal models when available, plus simple readable placeholder meshes for Skeletons, Spiders, Slimes, Golems, Lava Beasts, and other monsters. Use colored ground indicator rings beneath enemies, larger rings and larger silhouettes for bosses, shadows beneath characters, and tint models by enemy/hero theme. The implementation may use the shown Quaternius-style GLB assets when available: golden knight hero, goblin, wolf, demon, dragon, tree group, rock group, and closed/open treasure chest; fall back to primitive low-poly meshes if assets fail to load. Animate idle, run/walk, attack, roll, hit, death, and victory states where clips exist. After all regular enemies die, automatically spawn a glowing treasure chest around the arena edge, award/enable the chest interaction when the hero comes within about 1.85 units, and show floating coin, potion, and weapon pickups. Opening the chest changes it to an open chest, grants coins (25 plus 15 per world), upgrades weapon tier by 1, adds 4 damage, heals 24 HP, and drops the three pickups. Then announce that the boss is approaching and spawn the world boss near the far side of the arena after a short delay. Show a boss HUD panel while a boss exists, with its name, Active/Approaching state, numeric HP, and a boss health bar. Use colorful but simple effects grounded in the mechanics: expanding circular pulses for area skills/ultimates, short glowing slash rings for attacks, narrow glowing beams for Frost/Volt/Shadow effects, small burst particles on hits and pickups, a pulsing colored ring around the hero, and brief hit flashes. Keep all effects short-lived and readable. Clamp the hero within the circular arena. Include toast messages such as entering a world, enemies incoming, treasure found, boss entering, level up, boss defeated, ultimate names, defeat, and victory. Objectives should dynamically read “Choose your hero,” “N monsters left,” “Defeat [boss],” or “Step into the next world.”
