Lava Cat Cavern was built by kefacic482 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Lava Cat Cavern opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a third-person 3D endless-ish platforming game titled “Lava Cat Cavern.” The player controls a small anthropomorphic black cat with a readable humanoid/toony body: segmented torso and hips, head with pointed ears and a visible face, arms with paws, legs with feet, and a large chunky fluffy tail. The cat faces the direction of travel rather than the camera. Use a dark volcanic cavern setting with an inverted rocky cylindrical cavern shell, black-purple rock columns, fog, a glowing orange-red lava plane far below, warm lava lighting from underneath, cool rim/follow lighting that keeps the dark cat visible, and a nearly black background. Use simple procedural 3D meshes and a restrained dark arcade aesthetic; the cat should be slightly lifted in brightness against the environment, with no large white silhouette outline. Use a smooth, elevated third-person chase camera behind the cat, roughly 7.6 units back and 3.8 units above it, looking slightly ahead. Smooth camera yaw, position, and look target heavily so movement does not whip the view. Movement is camera-relative: WASD or arrow keys move, with W/up moving forward relative to the camera; Shift sprints. The cat accelerates on the ground and in air, with normal top speed about 6.7 and sprint speed about 9.0. Keep the player within cavern x bounds. Space performs a jump, and a second press in the air performs a double jump; show a short synth note for jumps. Build an automatically generated forward route along the negative Z direction. Generate platform segments as the cat advances, and remove platforms behind it to create an endless-ish run. In each segment, scatter roughly 10–16 dark rocky rectangular platforms, around 3–7.5 units wide and 2.2–6.2 deep, at varied x positions and reachable heights from approximately -0.2 to 4.6. Include occasional moving platforms (about 12 percent) sliding sinusoidally along either X or Z, plus two larger safer rock pads per segment. Begin with a broad start platform. Place occasional metallic gray conical spikes on platform surfaces, usually 1–3 per selected platform, with some spikes bobbing vertically. Spikes cause an immediate hit on contact. The lava plane is a hazard and damages the player periodically while they are touching it; falling well below the lava level also counts as lava damage. The player has 3 health hits, displayed in the upper-left HUD as three heart icons, changing to empty hearts as damage is taken. On a spike hit or after a period in lava, subtract one health, briefly make the cat invulnerable, play a short hit blip/noise, show “Ouch!” or “Ow — lava burns.”, and play a seated hurt animation. The hurt animation visibly drops the torso, puts both legs forward at about 90 degrees and kicks them, reaches both arms backward/down to cover the butt, angles the head forward, and gives the cat a hurt face; hold it briefly before returning to normal. During normal movement, animate opposite arm/leg swings, tail swishing, and a subtle head bob. Use calm, hurt, and panic faces with bright eyes and a small mouth on a face texture. When the third hit occurs, enter a recovery sequence rather than a permanent game-over or hard reset. Make the cat sink toward and briefly struggle in the lava while wobbling, showing a panic face and emitting smoke. Then launch it straight upward using noclip, with a strong vertical burst, anxious/panic face, and a visible butt fire and smoke particle trail. Emit orange additive fire particles and pale smoke particles behind the cat. After roughly three quarters of a second, snap the cat to the nearest safe generated platform near its last safe position, preferably avoiding platforms containing spikes, restore health to 3, grant about one second of invulnerability, and resume play with a status such as “Back in it.” During launch show “Butt on fire!”. Include an R key respawn/debug action that restores the cat to the start platform with full health. Add a start overlay centered over the scene: “Tap / Click to start,” with the message “You’re a lava-cavern cat. Don’t sit on spikes.” and a note that audio enables on the first tap/keypress. The top HUD should show the title “Lava Cat Cavern,” desktop controls “WASD/Arrows: move • Space: jump (double) • Shift: sprint,” hearts, and transient status text. Use Tone.js or an equivalent simple synth for jump notes, hit/death/recovery notes, and a small noise puff. Support mobile with a translucent left thumb virtual joystick for movement and translucent right-side JUMP and hold-to-sprint buttons; mobile jump must also support a double jump. Ensure the overlay dismisses on click/pointer input and audio initializes after the first user interaction.
