Read the build brief for Jack: The Missing Road

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a first-person 3D atmospheric horror exploration game titled “Jack: The Missing Road.” The game opens on a dark, nearly black-green title screen with a subtle radial glow. Center a thin gray-green bordered panel containing the large uppercase title “JACK,” the subtitle “The road ended three miles ago.”, the line “Find out why.”, and a bordered button labeled “Enter the forest.” Include the desktop control hint: “WASD move · Shift sprint · C crouch · Space jump · F flashlight · E interact.” Clicking the button starts the game, hides the start panel, captures pointer lock, and displays the message “The rain started before you arrived.”

Build a gloomy first-person forest at night in Three.js or an equivalent real-time 3D engine. Use a dark blue-green background and exponential fog, a muted low-poly/primitive visual style, soft moonlight, ambient fill light, shadows, and a camera-mounted pale green-white flashlight spotlight with a narrow cone. The player is Jack, represented by a first-person camera, starting on the abandoned road at approximately (0,1,18). Movement is FPS-style with WASD, sprint using Shift, crouch toggle using C, jump using Space, and mouse look/pointer lock. Use a crosshair at screen center.

The environment is a large dark forest floor with a muddy abandoned road made of several roughly 8-unit-wide segments running along the Z axis, with cracked road prop tiles on the road. Scatter low-poly evergreen trees, dead trees, rocks, and several cut stumps around the area. Add a black lake to the west/northwest, a wooden bridge over/along the lake, a dark cliff and translucent pale-blue waterfall, and distant water scenery. Include three remote landmark buildings: a remote house in the southeast at about (20,-25), an abandoned warehouse in the northeast at about (24,18), and an old farm in the northwest at about (-24,23). Make each a simple dark wooden rectangular building with a rusty colored roof and a clearly visible locked door. Put the text label “THE HOUSE REMEMBERS” near the remote house. Add an abandoned rusty car beside the road around (7,-6), made from a rust-colored body, dark metallic cabin and black wheels, with the floating label “NO ROAD AHEAD.”

Add rain: many sparse falling pale blue-gray streak/points throughout the scene, visibly active after gameplay starts and indicated in the HUD as “WEATHER: RAIN.” The flashlight begins on with a 100% battery and drains while on; pressing F toggles it and turning it off very slowly recharges it. The HUD is fixed and minimal: upper-left title “JACK: THE MISSING ROAD” and an objective line; upper-right monospaced status showing “FLASHLIGHT [percentage]%” and “ITEMS [count]/3,” plus “WEATHER: RAIN” when the watcher is not active; center crosshair; near the bottom center show a contextual “[E] Take it” or “[E] Interact” prompt when the center ray is aimed at an interactive object; and show story messages in a dark translucent box with a subtle green-gray left border.

The core loop is first-person investigation: aim at nearby objects and press E to interact. Start with objective “Find the abandoned car. Look for anything left behind.” At the abandoned car area place a small paper camera note. Interacting with it displays: “Jack — if you find this, do not follow the footprints after the bridge. The thing in the trees is not alone.” and changes the objective to “Cross the bridge. The footprints continue beyond it.” Place seven small dark mysterious footprints leading through the forest near the road/bridge. Place three collectible keys as small pale paper-like objects: a rusted house key around (10,-3), a warehouse key around (28,12), and a farm key around (-18,29). When collected, hide the item, add its key to inventory, show an appropriate “Found …” message, and update the objective respectively: house key -> “Reach the remote house and find out who left the note.”; warehouse key -> “Search the warehouse for the missing camera.”; farm key -> “Visit the old farm. Something is watching from the tree line.”

The house, warehouse, and farm doors are locked until their corresponding keys are in inventory. If aimed at without the key, show “Locked. I need another key.” With the correct key, show “The lock gives way. The darkness inside smells of wet soil.”, turn the door dark/black as an opened or transformed state, and attach the clue that “A room full of photographs. Jack is in every one.” Set the objective to “Piece together the photographs and escape the forest.” At the warehouse/farm area include additional investigation props: an exposed strip of film near the warehouse that says “A strip of film. Every frame shows the same distant figure — closer each time.” and changes the objective to “The film shows a figure near the lake. Find the lake.”; and an old axe near the farm with the clue “An old axe. The blade is clean. Too clean.”

Include a rare supernatural encounter system rather than constant combat. A tall black humanoid watcher with a black rectangular body, featureless rounded head, and two tiny pale green glowing eyes can spawn at a distance in the trees after a random cooldown. When it appears, show “A branch snaps somewhere behind you.”, increase a hidden fear value, and have the figure slowly drift toward a position offset from the player. If it gets close or after a random moment, hide it and show “The trees are empty.” It should be eerie and non-combat; there are no weapons, attacks, health mechanics, or win screen implemented. Fear gradually decays and slightly thickens the fog while active. Keep the scene quiet, tense, wet, and sparse, with low-poly props, muddy browns, dark wood, rust, black water, desaturated teal-green lighting, rain, fog, flashlight illumination, and a strong dark vignette around the screen. Interactions must be performed by looking directly at objects with the center raycast; show no invented enemies, scoring, ammo, or combat systems.
