Grapple Gossip was built by Caleb Hicks with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Grapple Gossip opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a playable browser game titled “Grapple Gossip,” a lighthearted backstage wrestling conversation game with a stylized Three.js 3D presentation and clean dark TV-style overlay UI. The player controls a simple low-poly humanoid wrestler in an elevated third-person camera inside a long rectangular backstage hallway. The hallway has a dark gray floor, dark blue-gray walls, repeating tall blue rectangular wall panels, soft fog, and cool overhead/environmental lighting. Keep the camera behind and above the player, following them as they move; show the player as a simple capsule-bodied figure with a spherical skin-colored head and bright cyan-blue body. The central loop is: walk around backstage using WASD or arrow keys, approach one of five stationary wrestler NPCs, and automatically open a conversation when within roughly two units. The player can also click a wrestler’s name in the on-screen roster to start their conversation. Place the five NPCs around the hallway as simple low-poly people with colored bodies: CM Punk in orange, Roman Reigns in blue-violet, Seth Rollins in green, Rhea Ripley in pink, and Cody Rhodes in yellow. Each NPC should have a distinct personality and intro line: CM Punk is sharp and sarcastic; Roman is calm and dominant; Seth is loud and smug; Rhea is confident and intense; Cody is polished and driven. Use these conversation lines or close equivalents: Punk says, “If you came over here to waste my time, make it interesting”; Roman asks the player to say something worth hearing; Seth says he knows the player came over for a reason; Rhea asks whether the player is going to talk; Cody asks the player to say it face to face. When a conversation opens, show a centered translucent dark rounded panel with the speaker name, a mood/status tag, their intro dialogue, and three choices usable by clicking or number keys: [1] Respect them, [2] Ask nosy questions, [3] Talk trash. Respect lowers that wrestler’s irritation by 1 and raises reputation by 1, producing a calm response. Nosy questions raise irritation by 1 with no reputation gain and produce an annoyed response. Talk trash raises irritation by 2 and reputation by 2, producing a heated response. After the selection, replace the choices with either “Wrap it up and move on” when the wrestler is below their irritation threshold, or “Take it to the ring” when the threshold has been reached. The thresholds should differ by wrestler: Punk 3, Roman 2, Seth 4, Rhea 3, Cody 2. Track whether each wrestler has been talked to, and show roster status badges such as untouched, talked, heated, you beat them, or they beat you. If the player chooses to take a heated conversation to the ring, switch to a simple wrestling arena scene. Hide the hallway and show a square pale ring platform with four black corner posts and three red ropes around each side. Use an elevated front-facing camera aimed at the ring. Place the cyan player on the left and the selected opponent on the right as simple low-poly humanoids. Shift the arena lighting to dramatic red and blue point lights. Start every match with player health 100, opponent health based on wrestler (Punk 88, Roman 110, Seth 82, Rhea 90, Cody 102), player hype 0, and round 1. The fight overlay should show “You vs [wrestler],” round number, player and opponent health bars with numeric values, and a yellow/orange hype bar. Each fight turn is chosen by clicking or number keys and should resolve immediately with a combat log plus an opponent retaliation unless the opponent is already defeated. Provide these four actions: [1] Jab — deal random 8–14 damage and gain 14 hype; [2] Grapple — 75% chance to deal random 12–22 damage and gain 10 hype, otherwise take random 6–12 counter damage; [3] Taunt — deal no damage but gain 28 hype and remain vulnerable; [4] Finisher — if hype is below 60, fail and take random 8–14 damage, otherwise deal random 28–44 damage and consume 60 hype. After the player’s action, the opponent retaliates while still alive, with damage randomly based on their power: Punk 15, Roman 18, Seth 14, Rhea 16, Cody 17. Retaliation should vary between a quick hit, heavy combo, or stronger signature shot. Clamp health and hype to valid ranges, advance the round, and display readable logs such as damage, counters, hype increases, and finisher results. When either health reaches zero, show a result state in the fight panel. A win marks that wrestler as beaten, adds 5 reputation, and displays their post-match acknowledgement; a loss marks that wrestler as having beaten the player, subtracts 2 reputation but never below zero, and displays their post-match line. Require Space to return backstage. Returning should restore the hallway, hide the ring and fight panel, reset the player to their prior backstage position, and let the player continue talking to others; there is no hard ending. The persistent HUD should remain legible over the 3D world. At the top left show the title “Grapple Gossip” and subtitle “Backstage talk turns into ring fights.” At the top/right area show “Reputation: [number]” and “Scene: Backstage” or “Scene: Ring.” Show a translucent hint panel explaining movement and proximity interaction. Keep a backstage roster panel visible, titled “BACKSTAGE ROSTER” and “TALK TO EVERYONE,” listing all five wrestlers and their status badges. Use dark navy/black translucent panels, thin pale borders, rounded corners, white text, muted blue-gray supporting text, and responsive layout that works on narrower screens. Include subtle synthesized bleeps for selections, dialogue choices, hits, wins, and losses if audio is available, but keep gameplay fully functional without audio. Support clickable UI controls as well as keyboard controls. Expose game state for debugging through window.getGameState() and window.setGameState(), including mode, reputation, player position/health, current wrestler, fight stats/result, round, and each wrestler’s irritation, threshold, conversation, and win/loss status.
