Make your own game

Echoes of Tomorrow was built by Syed zeeshan Quadri with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Echoes of Tomorrow opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Echoes of Tomorrow

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based 3D exploration and light quest game titled “ECHOES OF TOMORROW,” with the subtitle “First Light // Vertical Slice.” Use Three.js or an equivalent real-time 3D engine and make it playable on desktop and touch devices.

World and camera: Build a small stylized valley scene viewed by default from an over-the-shoulder third-person camera following a player character. Allow toggling between third-person and first-person camera modes. The environment is a dark, atmospheric teal-green valley: a large flat mossy-green ground plane, a narrow turquoise river channel running lengthwise through the valley, several low-poly mountain/cone forms around the perimeter, scattered low-poly trees and rocks, fog, soft shadows, cool teal ambient lighting, and warm directional sunlight. Place the player near the end of the valley, around the river, and put a compact industrial water station toward the opposite end. The station should be a gray metal rectangular building with a slightly overhanging dark roof and a glowing rectangular control panel on its front.

Player and controls: Use a visible humanoid third-person character loaded from or resembling a simple low-poly animated character. Support WASD movement, jumping with Space, and a mobile touch joystick. Add keyboard shortcuts: T shifts era, V toggles camera, E interacts with the station, F gathers nearby resources, and P saves. Pointer/touch input should also attempt gathering and interaction. Movement should have gravity and jumping, and the character should have idle and movement animation when available.

Core objective and rules: The initial state is the era “fracture,” with the displayed subtitle “The Fracture — the valley remembers.” The mission is “MISSION // THE FIRST ECHO”: find the damaged water station, gather exactly 2 fiber and 1 metal, then go within roughly six world units of the station’s front panel and interact. Scatter three small glowing faceted resource nodes in the valley, visually distinct by color: two mint/green fiber nodes and one gold/yellow metal node. Gathering a nearby visible node removes it. The first two collected resources count as fiber until fiber reaches 2; subsequent collected resource counts as metal, so the three nodes produce the required 2 fiber and 1 metal. Display inventory as “Fiber 0/2 · Metal 0/1” and update it as resources are gathered. Interaction only succeeds when the player is near the facility and has all required materials. When the player is close enough and has the materials, append an instruction such as “Press E or tap the station button.”

Era transition: Provide a prominent “Shift Era [T]” button. It toggles between “fracture” and “aftergrowth.” Before restoration, the station panel is muted gray-green/dim and the river is hidden or visually inactive; resource nodes are visible. Once the station is restored, set the waterRestored state, save it, brighten the station panel with a green emissive glow, and update the mission to “Water station restored. In the Aftergrowth, a river now cuts through the valley.” In the restored Aftergrowth state, show a vivid turquoise river through the valley and hide the resource nodes. The era label should read “The Aftergrowth — choices have roots.” The era toggle itself should remain available, matching the implemented state behavior.

HUD and visual style: Overlay a fixed translucent dark HUD with subtle blur, thin aqua borders, rounded corners, and a restrained sci-fi survival interface aesthetic. At top left show a panel containing the eyebrow “FIRST LIGHT // VERTICAL SLICE,” the large title “ECHOES OF TOMORROW,” and the current era subtitle. At top right show the current era in uppercase, inventory counts, and the hint “WASD / touch joystick · Space jump.” On small screens move the stats panel toward the lower right above the controls. Center the mission panel near the bottom, showing the mission text and a horizontal progress bar; the bar should represent progress toward 2 fiber and 1 metal. Along the bottom show buttons for “Shift Era [T],” “Camera [V],” “Save,” “Load,” and a brown/orange “Reset Echo.”

Persistence: Implement Save using localStorage under a game-specific key and Load to restore era, water-restored status, and inventory. Reset Echo should restore the initial fracture state, clear inventory and saved data, and restart/reset the game. Keep the scene and HUD responsive to window resizing, and preserve the dark teal, softly fogged, low-poly atmospheric presentation shown by the reference.
