Diamond Derby was built by Jaclyn Hays with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Diamond Derby opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a browser-based 3D arcade baseball batting game titled “Diamond Derby,” using a simple low-poly Three.js presentation and responsive HTML overlay HUD. Show the field from a batter-side, behind-home-plate perspective: a large green circular grass field, a tan circular infield/dirt area, white home plate and bases laid out toward the pitcher, white foul lines extending into the outfield, a raised pitcher’s mound around z=-10.5, and a distant dark-blue segmented outfield wall. Behind the wall, fill the stadium with rows of colorful block-like crowd elements in red, yellow, and blue. Use a bright blue sky, soft fog, strong directional sunlight, shadows, and clean primitive geometry. Place a stylized low-poly batter in the foreground near home plate, wearing a dark navy uniform with a tan spherical head and simple capsule limbs, holding a brown/tan bat. Place a matching simple pitcher in a white torso, navy legs, and tan head on the mound. A white baseball begins near the pitcher and is thrown toward home plate on each pitch, with slight random horizontal and vertical variation and gradually increasing pitch speed. Keep a dark translucent, rounded, glass-like HUD over the game. Core loop: begin with a brief ready delay, then repeatedly pitch the ball from the mound toward the plate. The player must press Space or tap a large orange circular SWING button as the ball crosses home plate. Swing timing is evaluated from the ball’s 3D distance to the contact area: close timing gives a high contact quality, moderate timing gives a hit, and very early/late timing gives a miss/out. Do not allow repeated swings during one swing animation. Animate the bat through a visible arc when swinging, and have the batter subtly bob while idle. A successful hit launches the ball into the outfield with physics: horizontal direction is controlled by aim, vertical velocity depends on contact quality, gravity pulls the ball down, and the camera smoothly follows the hit ball. Show an expanding golden contact ring at home plate. Provide three aim states—Pull Left, Center, and Drive Right—changed with Left/Right arrow keys or A/D; use the selected aim to alter the horizontal launch direction and display “Aim: …” in the HUD. High-quality contact above roughly 0.84 is a home run: award about 100–190 points based on quality, increment Homers, and show a positive message such as “Home run! [distance] ft • [exit velocity] mph,” with distance around 360–455 ft and exit velocity around 67–113 mph. Medium contact above roughly 0.58 is a solid line drive: award about 45–85 points and show “Barreled it! [distance] ft • [exit velocity] mph,” with distance around 240–330 ft. Weak contact awards 15 points, displays “Weak contact — stay on it,” and commonly becomes a popup; when the popup lands, count it as an out. Missed swings and called strikes also count as outs. After each non-ending pitch/result, schedule another pitch after a short delay. End the round at 3 outs, hide SWING, show “Round over — final score [score]. Tap Play Again.” and display a Play Again button. Press R or tap Play Again to reset score, homers, outs, aim, pitch count, and begin a new round. The fixed HUD should include a top translucent rounded scoreboard with Score, Homers, Outs, and Best values, plus a centered message panel that initially says “Tap SWING right as the pitch crosses the plate.” At the bottom left, show a translucent Controls panel with: “Space / tap SWING to hit,” “← / → changes pull direction,” and “Perfect timing launches a home run.” At bottom right show the aim indicator and the large orange/yellow gradient SWING button; on game over replace it with a green Play Again button. Persist the best score in localStorage under a game-specific key. Make controls responsive for desktop and mobile, prevent page scrolling, and use touch pointer input for the buttons. Match the screenshot’s broadcast-style clear typography, dark navy panels, white text, yellow accent, and bright orange swing control.
