Cryptbound was built by Abagail Hartlyn with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Cryptbound opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a playable third-person 3D dungeon game titled “Cryptbound.” Use a dark, atmospheric low-poly fantasy style with a nearly black navy background, subtle distance fog, soft shadows, warm torch lighting, and a muted crypt palette of charcoal stone, burgundy, bronze/gold, and glowing cyan/magenta accents. The camera should follow behind and slightly above the player in a third-person perspective, with a perspective view and smooth movement. Build one enclosed square crypt room roughly 24 by 24 world units, with four solid stone boundary walls and a flat dark stone floor. Put a raised burgundy altar block/alcove near the north wall. Add four glowing magenta rune seals on the floor around the room. Decorate the corners with dungeon pillars and place four lit wall torches around the side walls; torches should cast warm orange light, including a subtly flickering light. The environment should be mostly dim, with fog fading the room into darkness. The player is a stylized armored knight/adventurer viewed from behind: a bulky gray metal helmet, red cloak or torso, and a large spiked weapon/shield silhouette at the side. Start the player near the south side of the room. Use a loaded low-poly knight character with idle, walking, and running animations. Movement is controlled with WASD or arrow keys; Shift makes the player run. Support the creator platform’s mobile third-person controls with a virtual joystick and jump button. Include gravity and jumping, although the main objective is ground exploration. The player has 5 HP. Place three cyan glowing soul-shard collectibles as floating faceted/octahedral crystals, each gently bobbing and rotating. Place them at approximately the southwest altar area (-7,-6), upper-right/central area (6,-4), and lower-left/central area (-4,3). When the player comes within collection range, hide the crystal, increment the shard total, and show a temporary message such as “Soul shard claimed.” The objective is to collect all three shards. Add three hostile animated skeleton warriors, initially positioned around the room at approximately (-6,0), (5,-1), and (4,6). They should idle when far away, and when the player comes within 8 units they should pursue the player at a slow walking speed, rotate to face them, and switch between walking and combat-idle animations. When within melee range, skeletons periodically attack about once per 1.15 seconds and reduce player HP by 1. Give the player a brief invulnerability window after damage, show “The skeleton cuts you,” and update the HUD. Press Space (and also allow E) to strike; a strike has a short cooldown and defeats any skeleton within roughly 2.5 units, hiding it and displaying “Skeleton shattered.” Do not award shards for defeating skeletons; shards are only collected from the three crystals. Place a gold/bronze glowing ring marking the exit at the southeast corner, around (8,8), next to a closed exit chest prop. Also place a chest near the southwest shard and an altar/chest-like dungeon prop, using low-poly dungeon assets. Once the player has all 3 soul shards and enters the exit ring, end the run successfully with a centered overlay titled “The crypt opens” and text “You escaped with all three soul shards.” If HP reaches zero, stop gameplay and show a centered dark modal titled “The crypt claims you” with text “The soul shards remain below.” Both win and loss states must include a prominent “Restart Run” button that reloads/resets the game. During play, show a fixed HUD panel in the upper-left with the gold uppercase title “CRYPTBOUND,” the live status “HP 5 · Shards 0/3” (updating as values change), and instructions: “WASD / arrows to move · Space to strike · Shift to run” plus mobile joystick/jump guidance and “Get 3 soul shards, then reach the exit.” Use a small temporary notification near the top center for combat and collection feedback. Keep the HUD readable with a translucent nearly-black panel, thin warm-gold border, rounded corners, and cream/gold typography.
