Charles Playhouse was built by Neon Gamer with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Charles Playhouse opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Create a desktop-focused first-person 3D horror game titled “Charles Playhouse,” built as a single playable chapter in an abandoned 1970s children’s playhouse. Use a dark, low-poly/primitive-geometry presentation with Three.js-like lighting: blue-black night ambience, heavy distant fog, dim moonlight, isolated warm lamps, occasional red and green emergency glows, and simple box/cylinder props. The player is an unseen teenager viewed through a first-person camera at approximately eye height, with a small white center-dot crosshair, subtle walking head-bob, mouse-look/pointer lock, and collision against the room boundaries. Support WASD or arrow-key movement, mouse look, Shift to sprint, and E to interact. The HUD should be minimal and dark translucent: top-left objective panel, top-right chapter and inventory panel showing “Teenager” and collected items, bottom-center desktop controls hint, center interaction prompts such as “Press E — …,” subtitles/dialogue, and a Lucky Watch dialogue panel when the watch is collected. The active prototype should begin directly inside the lobby at night with movement enabled, even though an optional main-menu/start overlay and exterior prologue can exist as presentation elements. The overall map contains an exterior forest approach, a large empty parking lot with pale parking stripes and rows of conifer-like trees, and a huge abandoned playhouse facade with glowing windows, a marquee/poster reading “CHARLES PLAYHOUSE,” and boarded entrance doors. The exterior cinematic prologue, if enabled, should show the forest, parking lot, and facade with narration about October 18th, 1979, the playhouse closing, and the teenager entering despite the rumors; however, the current fast-test flow skips this and places the player in the lobby. The lobby is a roughly square dark room with worn gray/brown walls and floor, Charles and Lucky Pup posters, a blocked/boarded front entrance, a gift-shop doorway on the left, a locked security-room doorway at the back, and a museum doorway on the right. Include dim freestanding lamps and simple crates/counters. Implement this exact progression. First objective: “Search the lobby. The locked security room is in the back.” The player can enter the gift shop through the left side. In the gift shop, place a rotating brass Gift Shop Key on a counter/shelf and a rotating Lucky Watch nearby. The key can be collected with E and adds “Gift Shop Key” to the inventory; the watch can be collected with E and adds “Lucky Watch.” The watch is represented by a small gold ring/watch face containing a tiny mechanical white-and-blue Lucky Pup figure. After collection, show a gold-accented Lucky Watch HUD and subtitles, and use browser speech synthesis or equivalent spoken dialogue for Lucky Pup, including lines such as “I am Lucky Pup. Keep moving. Charles hates witnesses,” guidance to find the key/watch, “Back to the lobby. The security room is waiting,” and warnings during the later puzzle and chase. Entering the gift shop can trigger a brief Charles jumpscare overlay reading “SMILE,” with a stylized mannequin-like Charles apparition: maroon coat, pale head, black hat, and glowing red eyes. Trying the locked security door without the key can trigger a one-time “CHARLES” jumpscare. Use the Gift Shop Key on the security-room door at the back of the lobby. The door visibly disappears/opens and the objective becomes to tie rope around three bars. In the compact security room, place three evenly spaced vertical metal bars/posts and let the player interact with each. Each interaction displays progress such as “Rope secured: 1 / 3,” makes a visible gold rope ring appear around that bar, and plays a small tone. Once all three are wrapped, remove/open the museum gate and tell the player to return through the lobby because the museum is open. Keep the objective/chapter labels updated through the sequence: Lobby, Gift Shop, Security Room, Museum Gate, Museum, and Chase. The museum is a larger dark rectangular exhibit room beyond the right-hand gate. Add warm and cool spot lamps, posters including “MUSEUM OF STARS — Every relic has teeth” and “DYNO SAM — Museum keeper. Stand still,” and a prominent orange Dyno Sam statue. Dyno Sam is a chunky low-poly orange dinosaur mascot made from boxes and cylinders: broad orange body, pale belly plate, angled neck, large blocky head and jaw, white triangular teeth, small dark eyes, tail, arms, and legs. He initially stands motionless like a museum exhibit. Place three physical lever bases/handles in the museum (two toward the sides and one farther across the room). When the museum is open, the objective is “Flip all 3 levers to open the hallway gate.” Each lever is interactable, rotates down when pulled, shows “Museum levers switched: N / 3,” and plays a tone. After all three are pulled, remove the gate into the long hallway, briefly make Dyno Sam disappear from his statue position, increase the red ominous lighting, and warn via subtitle/watch dialogue that he is gone and the player must run. Beyond the museum is a very long narrow hallway with parallel walls, alternating cool and warm ceiling/freestanding lamps, and a final lever at the far end. Crossing into it starts the chase automatically. Make the orange Dyno Sam chaser appear behind the player, play heavy-footstep/jumpscare audio, and change the objective to “Sprint to the end of the hallway and pull the lever!” Dyno Sam follows the player’s X position and tracks their Z position, maintaining pressure; the player must hold Shift to sprint. If the monster closes to the player, show a red/black “CHOMP” jumpscare, subtitle that Dyno Sam got them, increment a death count internally, and reset the player near the start of the hallway so they can try again while the chase remains active. The final hallway lever is labeled “Pull trap lever” and is only usable during the chase. Pulling the final lever starts an approximately 11-second ending cutscene: disable player movement, show the lever down, display Lucky Pup’s warning “Trap door live. Back away — now!”, play tense low electronic tones, and cause roughly twenty-two irregular gray/brown rubble blocks to fall from above around the hallway. Frame the camera toward Dyno Sam as he is caught beneath the collapse, drops below the floor, and disappears. Show the subtitle “Dyno Sam vanishes under the collapse.” Then end the chapter with a dark credits overlay and a slow sad synthesized melody. Credits should identify “Charles Playhouse,” “Chapter 1: The Museum Gate,” recap crossing the forest, parking lot, break-in, Lucky Watch, museum, and Dyno Sam’s chase, and end with Lucky Pup saying “This place still remembers you” and “See you in the next chapter.” Keep the horror restrained but atmospheric: primitive authored geometry rather than photoreal assets, poster art generated from bold text panels, warm amber museum/gift-shop lamps contrasting with cold blue moonlight, fog, occasional screen shake, fade-to-black transitions, short full-screen jumpscare overlays, subtitles, and simple oscillator/synth sound effects. The game should be playable with the objective and inventory always communicating the current rule: collect key/watch, unlock security, wrap all three ropes, pull all three museum levers, survive the hallway chase, and pull the trap lever to finish. Mobile controls/HUD may remain intentionally hidden in this desktop presentation.
