Make your own game

Bulawayo Explorer was built by Kudzai Chikomo with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Bulawayo Explorer opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Bulawayo Explorer

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based first-person 3D exploration game titled "Bulawayo Explorer". The player walks through a stylized low-poly city street slice inspired by Bulawayo and must approach and collect five glowing discovery points.

Use a Three.js-style real-time 3D scene with a warm beige background and light fog. Use a perspective first-person camera with a small white crosshair fixed at screen center. The player starts at the center of the city grid, moves at a moderate walking speed, and is represented by an explorer character with a teal capsule-like body and a short yellow hat (the character itself is hidden in the first-person view, so the player primarily sees through the camera). Support WASD and arrow-key movement, mouse click/drag look control, and a mobile joystick/touch control. Include gravity and collision handling against the ground and city geometry.

Build the environment as a 52-by-52 square city slice on a flat warm brown ground plane. Lay out a regular 5-by-5 grid of broad dark gray roads, with road strips about 4.2 units wide running in both axes at grid coordinates -18, -9, 0, 9, and 18. Between the roads, place pale tan square sidewalk/plaza blocks, approximately 4.8 by 4.8 units, at the same grid intersections. The visual result should be a strongly geometric checker/grid pattern of dark roads, orange-brown ground, and light tan plaza slabs. Add low-poly commercial buildings around the outer and side portions of the grid: distinct building variations at roughly (-13,-13), (13,-13), (-13,13), (13,13), (-13,0), and (13,0), scaled large enough to read as city blocks. Add eight stylized low-poly street trees around the perimeter near (-18,-4), (-18,4), (18,-4), (18,4), (-4,-18), (4,-18), (-4,18), and (4,18), mixing larger and smaller tree models. Add road-intersection tile geometry across the grid. Keep the art deliberately simple, chunky, and low-poly, with soft shadows, warm late-afternoon lighting, and no realistic map data.

Place exactly five collectibles at world positions (-9,-9), (9,-9), (-9,9), (9,9), and (0,18). Each is a small golden-yellow glowing faceted octahedron floating around 0.8 units above the ground, with a translucent golden circular torus/ring around its base. Make the octahedra slowly rotate and bob up and down, and make the rings rotate. When the player comes within about 1.25 units of a collectible, immediately mark it found and hide both the glowing object and its ring. Do not allow a collected point to count again.

Create a fixed HUD overlay. In the upper-left, show a dark translucent rounded panel with the title "Bulawayo Explorer", the description "Explore Bulawayo in first person and discover five glowing city points.", a second note reading "First-person 3D prototype — exact real streets need map/photo data.", and a gold counter reading "Discoveries: 0 / 5" that updates through 5 / 5. At the bottom center show a dark pill-shaped hint: "WASD / arrows to move · click to look · joystick on mobile". When all five points are found, show a centered dark completion overlay/card with the gold heading "City walk complete", the text "You found every discovery in this Bulawayo street slice.", and an orange "Explore again" button. Pressing the button returns the player to the center start position and resets all five discoveries and the counter. Use a dark blue-black translucent UI style, rounded corners, pale text, and gold/orange accent colors. Keep the experience focused on walking and discovery: no combat, enemies, vehicles, inventory, timer, or extra objectives.
