Make your own game

Brick Forge was built by jenna.goad90 with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Brick Forge opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Brick Forge

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a mobile-friendly 3D brick-building sandbox titled “BRICK FORGE.” Use a Three.js-like perspective 3D scene with a dark slate-blue background and subtle fog. Start the camera at an elevated three-quarter angle looking toward the center of the build area; let the player orbit around the build with drag gestures/mouse dragging, with damped orbit controls, a minimum zoom distance, maximum zoom distance, and a limit preventing the camera from going below the platform. Use soft shadows, a bright hemisphere light, and a directional sunlight-style light from above/right.

The scene should contain a large dark blue-gray floor slab, an elevated square 12-by-12 building plate, and a visible 12-by-12 stud/grid layout. The plate is a square with a slightly raised, blue-gray surface and grid lines. Place small round gray-blue studs across the grid at integer positions from -5 through 5 on both horizontal axes. The player builds on these grid positions, clamped to that 11-by-11 usable coordinate range. Each new brick occupies one grid cell and automatically stacks on top of the highest existing brick at that x/z coordinate. A brick is a colorful rounded-looking/simple low-poly block represented by a roughly square 0.92-by-0.92 body, about 0.38 high, with one small cylindrical stud centered on its top. Bricks should cast and receive shadows. Use these seven selectable colors: red (#e53935), yellow/amber (#ffc107), green (#43a047), blue (#1e88e5), purple (#8e44ad), orange (#f57c00), and off-white (#f5f5f5). The first red swatch is selected initially.

Core interaction: tapping/clicking a location on the build plate snaps to the nearest grid cell and places one brick at the top of that stack, unless the cell is already occupied at the intended level. On touch devices, a tap builds; on desktop, a normal pointer click on the plate builds. A right-click removes a brick, and suppress the browser context menu. Also provide an Erase toggle: when “Erase: On,” clicking/tapping a brick removes the brick under the pointer instead of building. Removing a brick updates the scene and stats. Include a Clear button that removes all placed bricks. Selecting a palette color exits erase mode and marks the chosen swatch as selected.

Overlay a fixed dark translucent HUD with rounded corners and a subtle border/shadow. At the top left show the bold title “BRICK FORGE”; at the top right show live text in the exact style “Bricks: 0 · Height: 0,” where Bricks is the total number of placed blocks and Height is the tallest stack height (number of brick levels). In the center/lower area show the hint: “Tap a stud to build · Right-click or Erase to remove · Drag to orbit”. Along the bottom place a palette panel containing seven square color swatches with the active one outlined in white, plus an actions panel with buttons labeled “Erase: Off” and “Clear.” Make the HUD responsive: on narrow mobile screens, stack the palette and action controls vertically and reposition the hint above them. Keep the overall visual style clean, dark, polished, and functional, with no extra gameplay systems, enemies, scoring, timers, or invented objectives.
