Basement Key was built by example with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.
Remix Basement Key opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.
Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.
Recreate a small single-player first-person 3D horror-action prototype titled “Basement Key,” presented as Chapter 1. Use Three.js-style low-poly geometric visuals: dark nearly black background, heavy blue-black fog, dim cool ambient lighting, soft shadows, and simple box geometry for rooms, walls, doors, enemies, pedestals, and projectiles. Important pickups should be glowing colored spheres: a yellow key, cyan/green sword pickup, magenta big-gun pickup, and green secret tape. The player is a first-person capsule-like character with mouse-look/pointer lock, a centered interaction prompt, and no visible weapon model required. Build the game as a sequence of connected phases. Start in a closed 14-by-14 dark-blue house room with four walls and a ceiling. Place the glowing yellow key near the back-left/middle area. The player starts near the front/upstairs door with 10/10 health. The initial objective reads “Find the key inside the house.” Looking directly at a nearby interactive object shows a prompt, and pressing E interacts. Picking up the key removes it and changes the objective to unlocking the hidden basement door. Put a locked hidden door on the rear-left wall; pressing E before getting the key produces a locked/system message, while after getting the key it transitions into the basement. Also include an upstairs exit door at the front wall that refuses interaction until the sword is obtained. The basement is another enclosed, dark-blue/black rectangular room, slightly larger than the house. Put a raised square pedestal near the far wall with a glowing cyan/green sword pickup above it. Press E to take the sword, remove the pickup, and update the objective to “Go upstairs and exit the house.” Include a return door at the opposite end that sends the player back upstairs. Once the sword is owned, interacting with the upstairs exit starts a visible black loading/fade screen for about five seconds, then moves to an outdoor-style enclosed arena. The arena is a large dark floor bounded by tall dark walls. Spawn one simple black rectangular monster at the far end and the player at the opposite end. The objective is “Kill the black monster.” The monster uses basic chase AI, moving toward the player, and damages the player by touch with cooldowns. The sword attacks on left click, has a short cooldown, and deals 6 damage to an enemy within roughly melee range; the black monster has 12 HP. When it dies, show a short scripted cutscene/message indicating the boss arrives, lasting about 2.2 seconds, then begin the boss fight. In the boss phase, retain the arena and spawn one larger dark maroon/black block-like boss with 100 HP. Show the boss health bar. Put the glowing magenta big-gun pickup at the left side of the arena. The objective initially says “Find the big gun and defeat the boss (100 HP).” Press E near the pickup to equip the gun, grant 80 rounds, and change the objective to shooting the boss. Left click fires a small glowing pale-yellow rectangular bullet along the camera’s forward direction; bullets travel quickly, expire after a short lifetime, and deal 4 damage to the boss on hit. The boss slowly chases the player, causes touch damage, and periodically performs a slam: display a translucent red square warning zone centered on the player with a warning message, give roughly one second to move, then deal 2 damage if the player remains within the zone. The boss also deals 1 touch damage with a cooldown. On death, remove it and spawn the glowing green secret tape at the right side of the arena. Set the objective to “Find the secret tape.” Press E on the tape to show the system reveal messages (“The TV cracks... the final boss is watching.” and “Three more monsters are coming...”), then end with the centered prompt and objective “CHAPTER 1 COMPLETE.” Use simple health/death rules: player health is 10 maximum, show a “YOU” health bar reading 10/10, subtract damage from enemies, and on reaching zero display a respawn message, restore health, and rebuild the current house, basement, or arena phase. Do not add extra enemy types, multiplayer networking, inventory systems, or story scenes beyond these implemented phases. Sword attacks do nothing useful without the sword; gun attacks consume ammo and report “Out of ammo!” at zero. Implement controls exactly around the prototype: WASD to move, mouse to look, Space to jump, E to interact, and left mouse click to attack or shoot depending on the equipped weapon. Include touch/mobile buttons labeled WALK, JUMP, E, and ATTACK. Require an initial “Click to play” overlay that locks the pointer; provide a loading overlay during the house-to-arena transition. Add simple synthesized feedback sounds for jumping, pickups, hits, shooting, and boss defeat if supported. Create a HUD matching the dark translucent sci-fi/horror presentation: top-left “CHAPTER 1,” the current “Objective:” line, and a small controls hint; below it show the player health bar and, only during the boss fight, a second boss bar reading 100/100 and updating down to zero. Place a right-side VOICE panel with a “Mic: OFF/ON” button and local speech-to-text status, plus a CHAT panel with scrolling messages, text input, and Send button. Chat is local UI only: typed messages appear as “You,” speech-recognition final results appear as “You (voice),” and scripted system/friend messages can appear. Keep interaction prompts centered and make the overall interface dark, glassy, rounded, and lightly bordered, with cool blue/green health accents and red/orange boss accents.
