How to play

Click the game above and it runs right here in your browser. No download, no installer, no account needed. Adriel Zamarripa built it with Cinevva, so it works on a phone or a tablet too.

Make your own game

Aware was built by Adriel Zamarripa with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Aware opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Aware

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based third-person 3D exploration and character-interaction game titled "Aware". The setting is a dim, atmospheric dinosaur museum/research room that combines a specimen museum, bedroom-like living space, and laboratory. Use a dark blue-green palette with a charcoal-blue floor and walls, soft fog, warm directional sunlight, cool hemisphere lighting, and a turquoise point light. Include soft shadows and a polished but stylized low-poly appearance.

The player controls a simple small humanoid avatar from a third-person camera. The avatar has a teal/turquoise body and coat with a skin-colored head and dark hair. Start the player near the front/right side of the room and allow WASD or arrow keys to walk, Space to jump, and mouse/touch dragging to look around. Use a follow camera positioned behind the player at approximately 5 units distance. The room should be bounded by a large floor and three walls, with wall panels and two blue-green illuminated window/display rectangles on the back wall.

Populate the room with visible research and museum props: a green rug in the center; a wooden research desk and chair against the back-right wall with a glowing teal monitor; a white research board with green horizontal markings; wooden specimen shelving on the back-left wall holding multiple small glass jars with amber fossil cores; a wooden fossil-preparation bench with a metal top and several amber fossil replicas; and a row of dinosaur display models along the back wall labeled T. rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Parasaurolophus. The display dinosaurs can be simple stylized reconstructions on round metal bases, with Spinosaurus and Parasaurolophus having visible crests.

In the center-left of the room, build a glass-topped rectangular raptor enclosure with a wooden base, metal vertical bars, and a transparent top. Inside it place a small feathered Velociraptor mongoliensis proxy: narrow small body, skin-colored head and legs, dark beak and sickle-like claw accents, a long feathered tail and a row/fan of feather shapes along its back. Animate it with subtle idle movement, body bobbing, tail/feather motion, and slow movement/turning inside the enclosure. When it has been fed, make it become alert/excited and move more actively for a few seconds.

Also include an autonomous NPC named Aware, distinct from the player, wandering near the enclosure and center of the room. Aware is a simplified humanoid with a mint torso, dark teal coat panel, skin-colored head, and dark hair. Aware should move autonomously on a slow looping path and turn toward the player, except while reading, when it can face away toward the room displays. Aware is an intelligent, reflective dinosaur researcher whose current activity and emotional state change over time. Cycle autonomously through activities such as reading a dinosaur book, examining a fossil, organizing the specimen shelf, checking the raptor enclosure, sketching a dinosaur reconstruction, watching the research monitor, and exploring the room. Change its emotion among curious, focused, content, and alert, and show occasional short thought bubbles such as "What is nearby that I have not examined?", "I should check the enclosure before I read.", "This fossil may preserve a clue.", and "I want to compare this reconstruction with modern evidence." Keep a short-term memory list of up to eight events; memories gradually lose importance over time. Begin with memories that the player entered Aware's room and that Velociraptor mongoliensis is small and feathered. Track a memory-strength/mood percentage beginning around 72% and let interaction improve it slightly.

Add a fixed dark translucent HUD over the 3D view. At the upper-left show the spaced uppercase title "AWARE / AUTONOMOUS DINOSAUR LIFE". At the lower-left show a rounded status card containing the green name "Aware", a pill-shaped emotion tag such as "curious", the current activity (initially "checking on the raptor"), "Memory strength: 72%", and the hint "WASD / arrows to walk · Space to jump · drag to look". At the upper center, display Aware's thoughts temporarily in a rounded translucent speech/thought pill, fading out after several seconds.

At the lower-right provide four rounded interactive buttons: "Talk to Aware", "What do you remember?", "Feed raptor", and "Observe behavior". "Talk to Aware" should show one randomly selected reflective dinosaur statement, including thoughts about the oversized bare-skinned movie raptor, birds being living dinosaurs, remembering the player's visit, or uncertainty around Spinosaurus; add a discussion memory, increase mood slightly, and set Aware's state to talking/engaged. "What do you remember?" should display the newest remembered event and set the activity to reflecting on long-term memories with a thoughtful emotion. "Feed raptor" should set the activity to watching the raptor feed, set the emotion to excited, add a memory that the player fed the Velociraptor and it became alert, and show the thought that the raptor's body language should be observed rather than anthropomorphized. "Observe behavior" should show a thought about deciding what is interesting nearby, set the activity to observing the raptor, and restore a curious emotion. Buttons should use dark teal backgrounds, pale green text, rounded corners, and subtle borders, matching the restrained museum interface.

The overall experience should feel like a quiet interactive life simulation and dinosaur research exhibit rather than an action game: exploration is gentle, Aware acts independently, the raptor is observed and fed, and the interface emphasizes curiosity, memory, behavior, and scientific uncertainty.
