Make your own game

Arcane Academy was built with the Cinevva game creator: describe the game you want in chat, watch it get built, and play it in your browser minutes later.

Remix Arcane Academy opens the real game in the creator and forks its actual files, chat and design doc, so you start from the code rather than from a description.

Read the build brief for Arcane Academy

Cinevva's analyzer read this game's design doc and its source, then wrote the brief below. "Make your own" hands it to the game creator as your opening message, so you start from a real spec rather than a one-line idea.

Create a browser-based 3D third-person fantasy adventure slice titled “The Chronicles of the Arcane Academy,” set in the moonlit academy town of Valombre. Use a dark navy, storybook-fantasy presentation with warm gold typography and UI borders, cool blue/purple ambient lighting, fog, soft shadows, and simple stylized low-poly geometry. The game should begin with a full-screen title panel reading “The Chronicles of the Arcane Academy,” the subtitle “Enter Valombre, awaken the first spark of the Primordial Echo, and uncover the secret beneath the academy courtyard,” and a “Begin Year I” button. If a save exists, also show “Continue Journey.” Include a pause overlay with Resume and Save Progress buttons; save progress automatically to browser storage and allow loading it later.

Build a navigable academy courtyard viewed through a third-person follow camera. The player character is Elias Varenne, a small stylized humanoid wearing a very dark blue robe, with a simple capsule-like body, tan spherical head, brown hair, and an overhead “Elias” name label. Support WASD movement, mouse look, Shift to run, Space to jump, E to interact, Escape to pause, and clicking to cast. Keep the on-screen hint visible during play: “WASD move • Mouse look • Shift run • Space jump • E interact • 1 select LUMEA • Click cast.” Provide a bottom-right blue spell button labeled “✦ LUMEA [1]”; selecting it displays a toast that LUMEA is selected.

The environment is a broad rectangular courtyard with a dark blue-gray ground and a lighter stone plaza, enclosed visually by an academy/castle complex. At the far end, construct a large keep wall, two square towers with burgundy roofs, a central stone entrance arch with a dark doorway, and blue/burgundy hanging banners. Add side buildings, including a right-side classroom building with a dark door and a visible “ARCANA 101” sign. Place a central square fountain with a raised basin and blue water, four stylized conical green trees around the courtyard, additional distant tower-house structures, and a large warm moon in the foggy night sky. Use a dark navy background/fog and a warm directional moonlight/sun-like light alongside cool hemisphere fill lighting.

Place three named NPCs as simple stylized humanoids with colored robes, tan heads, brown hair, and floating labels: Theo Marceau at the left/front side of the courtyard, Mila Soren at the right/front side, and Professor Aldren beside the Arcana 101 classroom. They are interactable when Elias is nearby. Press E near Theo to show a two-line dialogue sequence: Theo welcomes Elias and jokes about a lake monster, talking staircase, and argumentative pudding, then directs him to Professor Aldren; pressing Continue advances and closes the dialogue. Near Mila, show two lines in which she identifies Elias as the transfer student, warns him not to explode anything, and directs him to Aldren. Near Professor Aldren, show three Continue-driven lines: he says the old stone has been whispering Elias’s name, explains that the first lesson is to face the ancient courtyard mark and speak “LUMEA,” and says the Primordial Echo is a memory rather than a weapon. Completing Aldren’s dialogue starts the lesson and updates the mission.

The top HUD should appear after starting the game, with the gold label “VALOMBRE • YEAR I” and a mission panel. Initially show “Mission: Find Professor Aldren in the classroom.” After Aldren’s dialogue, show “Mission: Cast LUMEA at the glowing symbol in the courtyard.” In the courtyard, add a glowing Primordial Echo symbol: a cyan emissive horizontal ring, three stacked purple hexagonal/ring-like marks, a cyan point light, gentle vertical bobbing, and slow rotation. The player can cast LUMEA by clicking when the lesson has started and Elias is within approximately 9 world units of the symbol. If the lesson has not started, show “Professor Aldren must begin the lesson first.” If too far away, show “LUMEA needs a target nearby.”

When LUMEA is successfully cast near the symbol, intensify its emissive glow and enlarge it slightly, show a toast reading “LUMEA awakened the Primordial Echo!”, mark the lesson complete, and change the mission to “Mission: Follow the awakened symbol to the sealed passage.” After a short delay, open the secret passage at the back of the courtyard: initially it is a dark rectangular door labeled “SEALED PASSAGE” near the rear wall; opening it moves the door downward out of view, hides its label, and reveals a glowing translucent purple doorway/light panel. Show the toast “A secret passage opens beneath Valombre.” Then change the mission to “Chapter complete: The sealed passage is open. Explore beyond the courtyard.” Near the sealed door before completion, E should report “The passage is sealed. The Primordial Echo may know the way.” Near the academy entrance, E should report “The academy doors are sealed until your first lesson.”

Use interaction proximity of roughly 3.2 units for NPCs and the passage. Display contextual toast messages and the centered bottom hint. Render floating labels above interactable characters and the passage, and use a polished cinematic fantasy UI: Georgia-style serif text, cream/white body text, gold headings and thin gold borders, translucent dark navy panels, rounded buttons, and blue gradient action buttons. Do not add combat, enemies, inventory, health, scoring, or extra chapters; this is a compact exploration, dialogue, spell-awakening, and secret-passage adventure slice.
